Stupid run, stupid boy!

So I decided because I had the ‘get up and go’ tonight I thought about doing a 10 mile run I planned at work. I needed to do something as the Great North Run is in just over 2 weeks.

My legs were still a bit sore after last week’s 3 runs but I thought they might sort themselves out as they normally do when running on achey muscles.

After 2 miles my run was becoming a limp run and I started feeling the pain more and decided that if I carried on it would create a serious injury. So I stopped, turned around and walked back home which was pretty demoralising.

What was I thinking running on injured legs not achey legs. I didn’t know the difference and I do now. I live and learn but hoping that this lesson hasn’t been too costly and too late just before the Great North Run
